I am a Christian and I write about that quite a bit on my blog. Maybe not my morals and beliefs but I mention God and the Bible quite a bit. It is a huge part of my life, but I would be lying if I said I never got a little worried about what people who read this might think. Of course I would never hide my faith, but there are times I may try to "downplay" it on the blog. It is dumb really, and completely wrong. I am proud of my faith and to call Jesus Christ my Savior! I do however worry what some people may think when they read my posts involving God and my faith. Girls from my classes thinking "gosh, she is a loser. She never parties and just seems so boring." People from high school, "what a goody-two-shoes that Tavia still is." I know it is silly to think those thoughts but they are there in my mind.
I do realize though, that in everything I do I want God to be present. I want people to look at me and in every aspect of my life be able to see the light of Jesus. That means on my little ol' blog too! I want this blog to be an encouragement and maybe even inspiring to others. And there is no doubt, that with God at the center of my blog, it will be! I will continue to write about my faith because this blog is about my life and that is the biggest part of my life!
I have mentioned many times how I read countless blogs everyday. I find that many of the blogs I follow on a regular basis are written by women of faith! Ladies who are just like me in many ways, so easy to relate to and to read their words and see a connection to my own life. The bloggers I have asked to guest post for me are women who I have been encouraged and inspired by their faith as I have read their blogs. They all come from different walks of life, different states, and most of them don't even know each other. But one thing that we all have in common is our Savior!
I chose this verse to be a sort of motto for the series:
"May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14 NIV
Blogs are all about words. In anything that we write as Christian bloggers, it is important that we are always glorifying God!
For this series I have asked each blogger to write about something encouraging, important or relevant to our faith and walk with God.
I hope you all enjoy, check back tomorrow because it is going to be special!

How exciting to start this week, Tavia! That verse is what we say as a student body at my college after every chapel service. So it's always such a reminder to me. :)
Super cool idea! Thanks for doing this - I'm so looking forward to reading them! - Tonya B
