Why We Aren't Finding Out

The Hubs and I are aware that not finding out the gender of our bebe is definitely not the norm these days. Heck, people can find out as early as 13 weeks now and so many couples find out as soon as they possibly can!

I get it, I truly do. Knowing would be so exciting and can allow you to really prepare in so many ways. You can buy all the cute clothes and make the nursery look perfect. But in all honesty, I think people ruin one of the best and only surprises left in life. There are so many things you can find out early now. Just look on the internet and you can find out just about anything. People don't keep anything private or secret anymore with all the social media outlets there are. Sometimes you even find things out you didn't want to know.

I can't imagine a more fun surprise than Collin getting to shout out "It's a boy" or "It's a girl" in the delivery room. And think how fun it will be for people waiting to hear what we had! Now, people find out, tell everyone on facebook, then tell what the baby's name will be and there is no surprise at all when it's actually born.

As for being prepared... I may not be able to buy precious boy or girl clothes, and gender neutral clothes are no fun at all (too much yellow and cream). But we can still have everything the baby needs when it arrives. Crib, diapers, clothes, bed, toys, stroller, high chair... we can have it all whether we know what the baby is or not!

I am so incredibly excited for the complete and total surprise and I think sharing our baby's gender and name will be so exciting because no one will have a clue and will be completely surprised right along with us!

I am so excited for this little surprise to arrive in less than 4 months!
