I love real camping too, but the nice thing about camping in the back yard was that when I needed to pee at 5am I could just go inside and not have to squat by a tree!

Happy 3rd of July!
The Hubs had to work on the 4th but got the 3rd off so we decided to celebrate early! We went out for dinner at Logan's Steakhouse then, since the weather was absolutely amazing we decided to camp out in our back yard. Nothing like spontaneity! We went and bought ourselves a $25 tent and finally got to use our fancy sleeping bags we got for our wedding. We got the tent all set up and then played four rounds of Kan-Jam (two goals that you throw a frisbee into and get points for different things) of which I won every. single. game! By the time we got done playing it was getting dark so we went in and picked a movie to watch on the lap-top in the tent (I know, we were really getting the full camping experience weren't we?). We brought out snacks, watched our movie and by then it was midnight and we settled down to sleep. Mavis slept in the tent with us the whole night, which was good cause I needed her to keep me warm!

You guys are so cute! Looks fun! Wait a few years and you'll wake up to the pitter patter of little feet all over the vinyl floor and the smell of a wet sleeping bag.
Logan's is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants! And that's so fun that you guys just camped in your backyard--spontaneous, for sure!
how fun!! and that is much nicer than real camping when you can just go inside to use the bathroom! you guys are so cute!
